About the Role
Purpose: to support accurate financial record-keeping and efficient management of farm resources by rigorously tracking the in- and out-flow of chemicals, fuel, parts, PPE, stationery, packaging bags and stores in general, and to play a major role in asset protection (verification of orders, proper weighing, bagging and storage).
Duties
- Inventory planning & monitoring: forecasting, tracking inventory, setting re-order levels, stock replenishment, and min/max levels.
- Receiving and inspecting deliveries: quality checks, inventory entry, and documentation (Goods Received Notes, invoices, delivery documents).
- Stock issues: physical issuing of stock with authorised, signed issue notes, posted to the correct expense/asset/project codes.
- Managing stock returns: processing returns of defective or unsold stock and quality control on returns.
- Inventory auditing and stocktaking: regular audits/physical counts, cycle counting for high-turnover items, and investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- General inventory control and management.
Requirements
- Experience in stores/inventory control, preferably in a farm or agricultural environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock records and documentation.
- Ability to work closely with the Farm Manager and Supervisors to ensure efficient use of resources.
