Provincial Coordinator — Harare
About the Role
The Provincial Coordinator, stationed at Head Office and reporting to the Programs Manager, will coordinate and monitor combat sport regulatory and development activities in provinces, with a strong focus on athlete safety, technical compliance, effective sport administration, ethical conduct and good governance.
Duties and responsibilities
- Implement and monitor compliance with ZNBWCB policies, regulations, standards and programs.
- Monitor promoters, clubs, athletes, coaches, officials and events for statutory, technical, safety and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate athlete, official, promoter and event licensing, registration, clearances and related applications.
- Ensure athletes' medical, contractual and other safety requirements are addressed before tournaments and events.
- Maintain accurate athlete profiles, performance information and regulatory records.
- Investigate complaints, disputes and breaches of regulations and escalate matters appropriately.
- Organize provincial meetings, workshops and awareness programs on rules, safety, ethics and regulations.
- Engage stakeholders and support effective service delivery, athlete development and sound sport governance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management, Sport Science, Physical Studies or an equivalent/related field.
- 2–5 years' experience in sports administration, regulation, compliance or a related field.
- Demonstrable knowledge of combat sport rules, regulations and governance structures.
- Experience with a regulatory body or community sport development will be an added advantage.
