About the Role
Applications are invited for the Quality Control Technician position within Baker's Inn Manufacturing — Northern Region, Harare.
Duties:
- Coordinate all activities related to product quality and food safety management.
- Conduct raw material, packaging material and finished product evaluations and testing.
- Monitor production processes and verify compliance with quality standards.
- Implement and maintain PRPs and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
- Record and report quality inspections, test results, deviations and corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality and food safety systems.
- Ensure laboratory and quality equipment are calibrated and maintained.
- Support internal audits and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
- BSc Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology or a related quality discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within the food manufacturing industry (baking industry an added advantage).
- Working knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems and prerequisite programmes.
- Understanding of SLAs, COAs and COCs.
- Strong analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills; good communication and attention to detail.
