Registration and Accreditation Officer
About the Role
Duties and responsibilities
1. Receive and acknowledge applications for the registration of mass media services and accreditation of media practitioners.
2. Process registration and accreditation applications using approved systems, ensuring physical and digital records are accurate and fully reconciled.
3. Administer, update and secure official databases and registers of mass media services and accredited media practitioners.
4. Compilation of regular reports on registration and accreditation.
5. Support public awareness and outreach initiatives for registration and accreditation.
6. Respond to stakeholder inquiries professionally and escalate complex, sensitive or policy-related matters to the Registrar.
Requirements
1. A Degree or HND in Media Studies, Mass Communication, Public Administration, Records Management, Information Management, or equivalent.
2. Strong understanding of the Zimbabwean media landscape and relevant legal frameworks.
3. Excellent computer literacy, proficient data entry skills and strong report-writing capabilities.
4. Ability to keep abreast of emerging technologies and digital solutions for secure database creation, data protection and records integrity.
5. At least two (2) years' relevant experience in registration, licensing, regulatory compliance, database administration, or records and information management.
