About the Role
The Ministry of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs is hiring a State Counsel II.
Role overview: contribute to the formulation and review of Constitutional and Parliamentary Affairs policies in line with the Ministry's mandate and national development imperatives; manage the process of conducting legal research on Constitutional and Parliamentary matters; coordinate the alignment of legislation to the Constitution; initiate policy functions of the Ministry; and manage consultation on Bills.

Requirements
Requirements & qualifications
- LLB degree or equivalent (a relevant Master's degree is an added advantage).
- At least 6 years as a Law Officer.
- Must be a Registered Legal Practitioner.
- Advanced skills in analysing, developing and evaluating complex legal policies.
- Proficiency in conducting extensive and detailed legal research.
- In-depth understanding of national and international regulatory frameworks and their application to policy and legal research.
