About the Role
The duties of the incumbent will involve manning stores for the Department.
Duties:
- Ordering equipment and laboratory consumables (agricultural components for laboratories and design projects) and consumables for agricultural systems.
- Liaising with all technicians on their requirements in their respective laboratories.
- Issuing out equipment and components per requests.
- Creating and updating inventory, and updating stocks to minimum required levels before the beginning of each semester.
- The person should show a willingness to learn.

Requirements
- A relevant minimum National Certificate in Agricultural Engineering or equivalent and at least 1 year post-qualification experience.
- Experience in the use of agricultural engineering components, interpretation and use of datasheets, ability to test agricultural components, and maintenance and repair of equipment and installations.
Skills: Inventory management, stock control, record-keeping, computer literacy (inventory systems and Excel), numeracy, attention to detail, organisation, communication, time management, teamwork, health and safety awareness and quality control.
