Systems Administrator (Grade 9)

Applications are invited for the position of Systems Administrator (Grade 9). Reporting to: Director of Finance.

Duties and responsibilities

• Installation and administration of the Local Area Network.
• Hardware maintenance.
• Maintaining existing software and hardware and upgrading any that has become obsolete.
• Overseeing the smooth running of the ICT workshop.
• Supervision of ICT staff.

Person specification

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognised institution.
• Professional qualification from a reputable institution.
• Knowledge of the Sophos XG firewall.
• At least 2 years' experience in the field of networking.
• Good communication skills.

Key competences

• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to handle pressure and work with minimum supervision.
