About the Role
Applications are invited for the Accountant position within Baker's Inn Retail — Southern Region, Bulawayo.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate daily, weekly and monthly financial reports and management accounts.
- Manage project accounting, including CAPEX approvals, project cost monitoring, budget control and contractor payments.
- Reconcile shop sales, cash collections, bank deposits, POS transactions and general-ledger accounts.
- Monitor inventory, food costs, stock variances, cash shortages and operational losses, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Process supplier invoices, payments and statement reconciliations while maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and business-performance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, company policies and accounting standards.
- Support internal and external audits and drive implementation of audit recommendations.
- Partner with operational teams to strengthen financial controls and improve profitability.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Accounting.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or CA is required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Accountant within an FMCG environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting and reconciliations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial-modelling skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- High levels of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.
