Credit Controller (Grade 8)
About the Role
Applications are being invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacancy that has arisen within Makoni Rural District Council.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying changes in socio-economic environment and propose action to avert losses.
- Analysing debt and recommending appropriate action to management.
- Assist in accounting activities which include financial management, debt management and banking.
- Submit reports to the Treasurer on debt management.
- Initiate legal proceedings if the debts are not paid within the agreed timeframe.
- Reconciling debtors' account and resolving debtors account queries.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum HND or degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
- At least three years relevant experience.
- A clean record of service.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing debt collection.
- Membership of a recognized professional body is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A clean Class 4 driver's license.
