ESTIMATOR COST CENTRE HEAD

Do you understand print and have a sharp eye for numbers? We are looking for an experienced Printing & Packaging Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive quotations across a range of printing and packaging products.

This is a technically demanding role. Sound knowledge of printing processes, materials and production costing is essential.

Key responsibilities:

1. Interpret customer specifications and prepare detailed estimates and quotations.
2. Calculate paper and board requirements, wastage, printing, finishing and other production costs.
3. Identify suitable production methods that balance quality, efficiency and profitability.
4. Work closely with sales, procurement and production to ensure quotations are accurate and practical.
5. Review actual job costs against estimates to improve future pricing.

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Previous estimating or costing experience in the printing and packaging industry.
2. A strong understanding of paper and board, print processes and finishing methods.
3. Excellent numerical skills, attention to detail and proficiency in Excel or estimating software.
4. The ability to manage multiple quotations and meet deadlines.
5. Strong communication skills and a methodical approach to complex work.

Relevant printing industry knowledge is a requirement for this position.
