IT Manager

A dynamic IT Pan-African company is seeking a skilled, mature and results-driven IT Manager to lead and oversee the company's information technology operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable IT systems, managing technical teams and infrastructure, supporting business operations, and driving effective technology solutions across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining the organisation's IT infrastructure, networks, systems and security.
• Leading and coordinating the IT team and technical support functions.
• Planning, implementing and monitoring IT projects and technology solutions.
• Ensuring system availability, data protection, backups and disaster-recovery processes.
• Managing IT vendors, service providers, software licences and technical procurement.
• Developing and enforcing IT policies, procedures and security standards.
• Providing strategic IT advice and support to management.
• Troubleshooting escalated technical issues and ensuring timely resolution.

Minimum requirements

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or another relevant IT-related field.
• At least five (5) years of relevant IT management or senior technical experience.
• An MBA will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud technologies and systems administration.
• Experience in managing IT projects, technical teams and external service providers.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines and handle confidential information professionally.
