About the Role
Reports to the Secretary. Assists in developing and executing the annual audit plan across operational, financial and compliance areas.
Duties:
- Lead audit projects from planning to completion; conduct risk assessments; review findings, reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with departments on implementing audit recommendations; analyse data for trends and issues.
- Stay updated on public-sector regulations; mentor audit staff; liaise with external auditors and regulators.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master's an added advantage; a completed qualification (ACCA, CGI, CIMA) preferred.
- Registered Public Accountant with the Public Accountants and Auditors Board.
- Minimum 5 years' internal auditing in the public sector, with at least 3 years supervising.
