Sister in Charge (Nursing)
About the Role
Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate daily nursing activities and staff schedules.
- Ensure quality nursing care in line with clinical standards; monitor patient care, treatment plans and documentation.
- Lead, mentor and develop nursing staff; ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection prevention and patient safety.
- Coordinate procurement and management of medical supplies and equipment.
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical audits; investigate and report clinical incidents.
- Maintain accurate patient records and support emergency preparedness.
Requirements
- Post-basic qualification in Nursing Administration or Management is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years' nursing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; sound knowledge of clinical governance and infection prevention; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
