About the Role
A University Administrative Assistant provides administrative, clerical and operational support to ensure the efficient functioning of a department, faculty, school or administrative office. The role involves coordinating office activities, managing records, facilitating communication and supporting academic and administrative staff, students and external stakeholders.
Duties:
- Provide administrative support to staff and students in the faculty.
- Manage in-person and telephone enquiries from stakeholders.
- Ensure smooth and adequate flow of information within the Faculty.
- Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures and policies and ensure adherence.
- Plan and coordinate administrative procedures and systems and streamline processes.
- Service Faculty Committee meetings (agendas, minute taking, distribution and follow-up).
- Maintain records for effective tracking of deadlines and departmental activities.

Requirements
- A relevant undergraduate degree in the Social Sciences or Commerce.
- Five (5) Ordinary Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Science.
- A minimum of three (3) years relevant post-qualification working experience.
Skills: Administrative, communication, computer and technical, problem-solving, customer service, financial and administrative support, professional, and leadership and coordination skills.
